Washtenaw County area youth have a new safe space

GameAbove has provided the school’s 2019 Mid-American Conference-winning men’s golf team with an $8 million gift to build and operate a state-of-the-art indoor training facility.

GameAbove announced it will contribute $8 million toward the construction and operation of a new state-of-the-art golf training facility on EMU athletic campus.

The indoor training facility, named the GameAbove Golf Performance Center will be dedicated to the university’s current men’s golf coach Bruce Cunningham, according to the school.

The group, GameAbove, will contribute $250,000 to a new Ozone House shelter and housing program, and another $250,000 to fund a social worker position for multiple years, according to a news release.
