USC Wins Inaugural GameAbove Golf Invitational at Rolling Hills

Southern California defends home course as elite NCAA women’s golf programs compete in the debut of the GameAbove Golf Invitational.

The inaugural GameAbove Golf Invitational concluded Tuesday at Rolling Hills Country Club, where No. 2 Southern California captured the team championship on its home course after three rounds of competition featuring some of the nation’s top women’s collegiate golf programs.

USC finished the 54-hole tournament at 22-under par, ahead of No. 4 Texas A&M, which placed second at 10-under, while No. 3 Oregon finished third at 11-over.

The event brought together 11 NCAA Division I programs, including multiple top-five teams and more than a dozen nationally ranked players, highlighting the depth and competitive level of women’s collegiate golf.

Playing on its home course, the Trojans controlled the leaderboard throughout the tournament and ultimately separated themselves from the field with consistent scoring across all three rounds.

USC’s victory added a compelling storyline to the tournament’s debut, as the Trojans successfully defended their home turf at Rolling Hills, where the program regularly practices and hosts competition during the season.

Chong Earns Individual Honors

Southern California’s Kylie Chong, ranked No. 27 nationally, captured individual honors at 11-under par, posting the lowest three-round total of the tournament.

Chong’s performance helped anchor USC’s team victory and stood out in a field that featured numerous nationally ranked competitors.

Elevating Women’s Collegiate Golf

The GameAbove Golf Invitational was created to showcase elite collegiate competition while providing additional national visibility for women’s golf.

Hosted at the scenic Rolling Hills Country Club, the event brought together leading programs including USC, Texas A&M, Oregon, Arizona, UCLA, SMU, Colorado, Tulsa, Hawai‘i, Long Beach State, and Eastern Michigan.

Eastern Michigan served as a co-host of the event alongside USC, helping bring the tournament to Rolling Hills as part of GameAbove’s broader commitment to supporting student-athletes and expanding opportunities within the sport.

EMU finished tied for fourth place, sharing the position with Arizona and SMU.

The tournament was streamed nationally, allowing fans, families, and supporters to follow the competition throughout the final rounds.

With a strong field and a championship performance from USC on its home course, the inaugural GameAbove Golf Invitational delivered a high-level debut and further highlighted the growing momentum of women’s collegiate golf.
