The GameAbove Golf Invitational debuts March 9–10 at Rolling Hills Country Club, bringing together top NCAA women’s programs and some of the world’s leading amateur golfers — with live coverage on Championship Golf Network.

GameAbove is launching a new platform for women’s collegiate golf with the introduction of the GameAbove Golf Invitational, an NCAA women’s tournament designed to elevate visibility, competition, and opportunity within the game.
The inaugural event will be held March 9–10, 2026, at Rolling Hills Country Club in California, with hosting duties shared by the University of Southern California and Eastern Michigan University. The two-day championship will bring together a nationally competitive field and provide meaningful exposure for women’s golf at a time when the sport continues to grow in depth and global relevance.
Building a Bigger Stage for Women’s Golf
Women’s collegiate golf is producing some of the most talented players in the sport, yet opportunities for consistent national visibility remain limited. The GameAbove Golf Invitational was created to help address that gap by delivering a high-caliber competitive environment paired with meaningful media exposure.
“At its core, this event is about visibility,” said Jordan Young, Director of Golf Operations at GameAbove. “The talent in women’s college golf is undeniable. This invitational is designed to reflect that reality and give players and programs a stage that matches the level they’re competing at.”
The tournament field includes more than 10 of the NCAA’s top 100-ranked women golfers, highlighted by Oregon’s Kiara Romero and USC’s Catherine Park, two of the world’s top-ranked amateur golfers. Several nationally ranked programs will also be represented, reinforcing the strength and depth of the competition.
A Nationally Competitive Field
Programs competing in the inaugural GameAbove Golf Invitational include USC, Tulsa, Arizona, Long Beach State, Hawaiʻi, UCLA, SMU, Eastern Michigan, Oregon, Texas A&M, and Colorado. Together, the field represents a cross-section of established contenders and emerging programs from across the country.
Competition will be contested over 54 holes of stroke play, with Rounds One and Two played on Monday, March 9, followed by the final round on Tuesday, March 10. A practice round will be held on Sunday, March 8.
Spectators will be welcomed on Monday and Tuesday, providing fans an opportunity to watch some of the nation’s top collegiate players compete in person.
Expanding Access Through Live Coverage
To extend the reach of the tournament beyond the course, Championship Golf Network (CGN) will provide live streaming coverage of Round Two and the Final Round on March 9 and 10. The coverage will offer fans nationwide the opportunity to follow the competition in real time while creating a broader visibility moment for participating student-athletes and programs.
“Live coverage plays a critical role in growing women’s golf,” Young added. “When fans can easily watch and follow these athletes, it strengthens the entire ecosystem around the game.”
Hosted by Leaders in the Collegiate Game
The partnership between USC and Eastern Michigan University brings together two programs with a shared commitment to competitive excellence and the advancement of women’s golf.
“Opportunities like this matter,” said Josh Brewer, head coach of EMU women’s golf. “Events that create exposure and elevate the competitive standard help move the sport forward for current players and future generations.”
USC women’s golf head coach Justin Silverstein emphasized the long-term value of events built with both competition and visibility in mind.
“The GameAbove Golf Invitational creates an environment where elite programs can compete while helping grow the profile of women’s collegiate golf,” Silverstein said. “That combination is essential for the continued evolution of the sport.”
Looking Ahead
While 2026 marks the inaugural year of the GameAbove Golf Invitational, the event is designed with the future in mind. GameAbove views the tournament as a foundational platform — one that can continue to expand in reach, media presence, and partnership opportunities while supporting the sustained growth of women’s golf.
