GameAbove is a brand deeply committed to philanthropy, focused on inspiring greatness through sports, entertainment, and youth organizations. Supported by our parent company, CapStone Holdings Inc., our ownership and for-profit initiatives—GameAbove Sports and GameAbove Entertainment—are dedicated to fostering impact and innovation in the sectors in which we operate.
Veteran business, collegiate athletics and media leader will work with GameAbove Sports, 21X SPORTS and other ventures across the CapStone portfolio.

CapStone Holdings Inc., the parent company of GameAbove, has named Jeff Genyk head of sports ventures. In the role, Genyk will work across the CapStone portfolio and in collaboration with existing leadership to help identify, evaluate and develop opportunities involving GameAbove Sports, 21X SPORTS and other ventures across the industry.
The appointment adds an experienced business, collegiate athletics, and media leader as GameAbove Sports continues to build relationships and pursue strategic opportunities across teams, franchises, leagues, events, related companies, and community initiatives.
“Jeff brings a valuable combination of business experience, sports leadership and relationship-building skills,” said Ashley Beal, chief of staff at CapStone. “He understands how to lead people, evaluate opportunities and work across organizations, making him a strong fit to help advance CapStone’s sports ventures through GameAbove Sports and 21X SPORTS.”
Experience Across the Industry
Genyk’s background spans private business, collegiate athletics and sports media. Before entering college coaching, he spent a decade in business. He later served as head football coach at Eastern Michigan University and held coaching and football operations roles at Northwestern University, the University of California, Berkeley, the University of Wisconsin and Vanderbilt University.
His tenure included work with conference championship teams at Northwestern and Wisconsin. He also served as an ESPN color analyst for Atlantic Coast Conference football games. That combination of organizational leadership, relationship development and media experience aligns with a role designed to work across companies and opportunities.
“I am thrilled to join CapStone and work with Keith Stone and the broader team,” Genyk said. “CapStone has a proven record of building businesses and positively affecting communities. I look forward to bringing my experience across business, athletics and media to help develop opportunities throughout its sports portfolio.”
Supporting GameAbove Sports and 21X SPORTS
GameAbove Sports focuses on global business development and strategic investments, supported by experience in athlete management, partnerships and youth development. Its relationships and market perspective complement the technology and commercial capabilities available elsewhere in the CapStone portfolio.
21X, formerly known as Structurely, recently launched 21X SPORTS, a business vertical owned by 21X and developed in partnership with GameAbove Sports. The platform applies AI engagement infrastructure across voice, SMS and email to help organizations pursue incremental revenue from existing fan and customer relationships.
GameAbove Sports contributes industry relationships, business development experience and sales perspective to that collaboration. Genyk’s portfolio-wide role adds another layer of coordination while preserving the existing leadership teams' responsibilities at GameAbove Sports and 21X SPORTS.
Connecting Experience With Opportunity
As head of sports ventures, Genyk will help CapStone assess where relationships, operating experience, technology and other resources can reinforce one another. His mandate supports disciplined opportunity development across the portfolio, in collaboration with the leaders responsible for each business.
Genyk holds an MBA from Western Michigan University and a master’s degree in education and social policy from Northwestern University. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University, where he played quarterback and punter.
