Alumni Pay-It-Forward

In April 2020, GameAbove gave graduates and incoming freshmen $2 million in financial aid. Graduates received $600 each, and freshmen received $400 each to help with expenses and anxieties related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Best of the Batch Foundation

GameAbove donated $500,000 and two Polaris GEM electric vehicles to the Best of the Batch Foundation’s $8.2 million fundraising campaign. The funds supported the construction and upkeep of a 33,000-square-foot educational facility in Homestead, PA.

GameAbove Sports' donation will energize First Tee golf initiatives for youth in Metro Detroit.

GameAbove donates $10,000 to this critical food bank program. Like other food banks across the country, demand for these services has increased as many people have lost their jobs due to COVID-19-related closures.

The economic impact of COVID-19, including widespread job loss due to closures, resulted in a surge in demand for food banks nationwide. GameAbove stepped up with a significant donation.

GameAbove Next-Gen Scholarship

GameAbove awarded $75,000 to Eastern Michigan University students who, due to financial hardship, were at risk of not completing their degrees.

Gamers Outreach

Gamers Outreach partnered with Trinity Health Ann Arbor and Oakland hospitals to provide portable gaming kiosks to hospital patients. This initiative was made possible by GameAbove’s $900,000 donation towards gaming for hospital patients.

Hope Clinic

GameAbove helped expand the clinic's free services, including medical and dental care, food, and other essential needs, throughout the COVID-19 crisis.

Ozone House

GameAbove donated $500,000 to Ozone House. The funds will be used for facility improvements and to support employee funding through the Engage@EMU program. This initiative helped expand Ozone House's facility and provide resources for a social worker dedicated to assisting at-risk youth and the homeless.

STEM for the Future

Donated $500,000 to support STEM education for underserved students through after-school programs.

Student-Athlete Performance Center

Brian Clouse Players’ Lounge at EMU's Student-Athlete Performance Center is a dedicated space for football student-athletes to study, connect, and build camaraderie. A $1 million donation made the facility possible.

YOUNG3 Powered by GameAbove Sports

GameAbove Sports sponsors the 2025 YOUNG3 program via the BIG3 league. This youth initiative promotes 3-on-3 basketball, skill-building, motivational talks, and meet-and-greets with BIG3 players and coaches. It aims to uplift communities, promote health, teamwork, and confidence.

YPSI LIVE & Ypsilanti Community Schools

3Comcast and YPSI LIVE partnered to address digital inequity in Ypsilanti Community Schools by providing 400 families with six months of free internet and donating computers to families in need.

Ypsilanti Cleanup Day 2022
